Overview

Helen Browning began the organic conversion of Eastbrook Farm in Wiltshire when she took over the family farm from her father in 1986. This mixed organic farm of 1,337 acres includes pigs, dairy herd, beef, sheep and arable crops. With certification from the Soil Association, the first organic livestock were produced in 1989.
Helen started in a small way by selling produce from a roadside stall. Later, in 1989, a butcher’s shop was purchased in Shrivenham, close to the farm. With this as a base the business slowly grew until today we supply organic meat to the supermarkets, and via a home delivery service direct to your door.
By the end of 1998 we realised that our talents lay in creating innovative, distinctive branded organic products, and we decided to specialise in organic pork. A number of organic pig farmers now supply the Helen Browning Organic brand, meeting ours and the Soil Association’s high standards. |
