At Eastbrook we use a British Saddleback sow, crossed with a Duroc boar.

The Saddleback sow thrives in all weather conditions, is a terrific mother and has plenty of milk and patience. She produces hardy piglets with a good flavour.

The Duroc sire originates from North America being part Hampshire and part wild pig. It adds excellent flavour to the meat and is also incredibly hardy.
