Our resident shepherd is James Keller pictured here with one of his lambs. He has invested in his own flock of Clleyn sheep and they live here at Eastbrook. James has 21 Ewes and 1 ram. This year he tupped his Ewes in October which means that our lambing season will be in March 2011. James expects to get two lambs per Ewe.
Sheep are important on the farm, as they improve the pasture quality by grazing the land in the autumn once the cattle have been housed, to ensure fresh, clean growth in the spring. And of course, James's lambs produce "the best lamb tasting lamb ever!"
